How does the free tier work?
Your first 5 monitored checks (backup jobs) are free, forever — full features, no card to start. Beyond that, $20/mo covers up to 50 checks, with per-check bands that fall to $0.20 at scale.
How do I connect a backup tool?
Two ways, mix and match: forward the vendor's report emails to a per-client address we give you, or push results to our HMAC-signed API from a script. We identify the client, normalize the status, and record it — no agent.
What counts as a 'check'?
One monitored backup job/device. A client with a server and three workstation backups is four checks. You only pay for active checks, and the first five across all clients are free.
What's a 'no-result'?
A backup that should have run on its schedule but didn't report — the silent failures that bite. Set each job's expected days and we alert when one goes missing, not just when one reports a failure.
Does it integrate with my PSA?
Yes. Failures and missed runs fire once per episode to a generic webhook (point it at your PSA's inbound, Rewst, or Zapier) and, if you use Atera, open a native ticket that auto-closes when the backup recovers.
Is there a contract or minimum?
No. Month-to-month, cancel anytime; annual billing saves 10%. No client minimum and no onboarding fee — the deliberate contrast to Backup Radar.
